The present invention relates to a buffer management device having flesh memory based three states and a method thereof and, more specifically, to a device and a method capable of reducing writing calculation for a flash memory device having slow writing calculation in comparison to the speed of the reading calculation by using an efficient buffer management method and a new index node division policy and improving the performance of a flash memory based database system (DBMS) and the lifespan of the storage device. To this end, a buffer management device having the flash memory based three states according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a buffer memory unit, a list management unit, a buffer memory management unit, and a log buffer unit.
