The present invention is to provide a device enabling a closed in weapon system (CIWS) to be escaped from a backward blast influencing area of a vertical launcher system (VLS) when the CIWS and the VLS installed in a warship are arranged in a location where the both are mutually adjacent to each other. To achieve the stated purpose, the present invention provides a backward blast blocking device to protect the CIWS of the warship including a protection wall to protect so that the CIWS can escape from the backward blast influencing area of the VLS as temporarily installed in a space between the CIWS and VLS when a missile is launched, regarding the warship equipped with both the CIWS and VLS. According to the present invention, the CIWS can escape from the backward blast influencing area of the VLS even when the CIWS and the VLS installed in a warship are arranged in a location where the both are mutually adjacent to each other, and there is no concern for generating malfunction or being damaged to the CIWS due to the backward blast accordingly.
