The present invention relates to an extract of Russula japonica Hongo, and more specifically, to an alcoholic extract containing an alcohol extract as an active ingredient which is effective in treatment and prevention of hyperlipidemia, and can be used for treating and preventing obesity. A composition containing the alcohol extract of Russula japonica Hongo as an active ingredient of the present invention can inhibit the activity of pancreatic cholesterol esterase and pancreatic lipase, and thus can be usefully used for treating or preventing hyperlipidemia.
