According to a system and method for a real-time malware detection based on a web browser plug-in, a web server of a web site is connected through a web browser module. A security module is executed through the browser plug-in of the web site. A database for the browser cache of the web site is updated from the web server by the security module. The web content of the web site is cached from the web server. The cache data of the web content is matched with the database.
