The present invention relates to a device for converting a vehicle number into an image, a method for controlling the same and a vehicle number reading system using the same. The device for converting a vehicle number into an image includes: an image converting part which converts the vehicle number into an image corresponding to the vehicle number by using an photographed vehicle number plate image and the vehicle number in the form of a text which has been read from the vehicle number plate; and an output part which outputs the vehicle number plate image and the converted image.
