The present invention relates generally to a method of calculating a radiation field distribution using a new parallel 3-D radiation transmission code and to a multi-processor computer architecture. This code solves an algorithm that uses domain decomposition schemes. For example, the angular and spatial domains may be divided into subsets, and the subsets may be assigned and processed independently.
