FIELD: process engineering.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to making of element for formation of multi-tonal watermark in the carrier by draining of fibre suspension. Note also that said perforation comprises through channel with inlet in perforated surface and outlet at draining surface. Proposed process comprises steps including the forming of said pattern and said perforations at said element so that every perforation is configured to make its channel cross-section are at definite spacing wherefrom depends directly on said spacing. Note that said element is subjected to ay least one annealing step.
