Delaying network reselection after performing a circuit switched fallback in a call failure scenario

A method is provided for delaying network reselection by a wireless communication device following a call error. The method may include determining an initiation of a voice call while connecting to a first network. The method may further include participating in a circuit switched fallback (CSFB) method for switching from the first network to a second network in response to the initiation of the voice call. The method may additionally include determining the occurrence of a call error of the voice call. The method may also include disabling reselection of the first network for a duration of a threshold lockout period in response to the call failure.
