The device has an arch (6) that is adapted for being placed near a front end of a plate (2). Another arch (7) is placed near a rear end of the plate. The former arch and the latter arch are ready to carry a long load. The latter arch is ready to be mounted in a movable manner in translation along a longitudinal direction of a vehicle i.e. small pick-up van (1). The latter arch is adapted to the length of the load, and is able to be moved in a position near the former arch to limit total obstruction of the device when the device is not use.
