The invention relates to a method for producing an abrasive blasting agent (18) composed of CO₂ dry ice (16) and water ice (15), in which the CO₂ dry ice (16) and the water ice (15) are produced separately and the water ice (15) is optionally cooled further in one or more steps and subsequently mixed with the CO₂ dry ice (16), wherein, on account of the coldness of the CO₂ dry ice (16) and additional cooling with the aid of a special refrigerant mixture in a refrigeration chamber (17), a temperature of the mixture (18) of down to -70°C is achieved and thus the water ice (15) achieves a hardness of glass.
