Method for generating a video (V) executed by a video server, comprising: - receiving working data from another video server, said working data comprising selection criteria (TXT) and a first video descriptor (V M ), - selecting video segments stored in a video database associated with the video server, in function of the selection criteria (TXT), - generating a second video descriptor (V L ), in function of the selected video segments, - determining (S4) a third video descriptor (V M ) in function of said first video descriptor (V M ) and said second video descriptor (V L ), - storing the third video descriptor (V M ) in the working data, and - generating (S7) a video (V) in function of the third video descriptor (V M ), if a completion criterion is met, or - transferring (S6) said working data to another video server, if said completion criterion is not met.
