Assembly (1) of at least one object (5) having an outer surface (12) substantially of revolution about an axis of revolution (") and a machine (10) for printing the object, the machine comprising at least four printing stations (16, 18, 20, 22) having at least two inkjet printing heads, each print head defining a median plane, the median planes intercepting the outer surface respectively according to two impact axes seen at an opening angle from the axis of revolution; a conveying system (35) comprising at least one slide (40) and adapted to move the slide with respect to the printing stations sequentially in at least four printing positions, the slide adapted to drive the object in rotation around the axis of revolution; and a control system. In each of the printing positions: the two print heads are offset relative to each other along the axis of revolution; the control system is configured so that said two print heads print the object for at least one printing period; and the median planes form between them an angle strictly inferior to the opening angle.
