The invention relates to a rupture-separating device with a spreading element arrangement (45), which comprises a first and at least one second spreading element (41, 42), which are formed such that they can be moved by means of an actuating body (43) between a positioning position for insertion into a bearing opening (89) of a motor component (80) and a spreading position for the abutment of abutting surfaces (52-55) of the outer circumference (46) thereof against an inner circumference (94) of the bearing opening (89), in order to form on the motor component (80) rupture-separating surfaces (90) that are made to extend away from the bearing opening (89) in the radial direction. According to the invention, the abutting surfaces (52 to 55) of the spreading element arrangement (45) comprise abutting surfaces (52 to 55) that can be arranged on both sides of a predetermined breaking location (95) of the motor component (80), wherein these abutting surfaces (52 to 55) extend around the predetermined breaking location (95) in the range of abutting angles (57) of altogether 35° to 120° and respectively abut with surface-area contact on the inner circumference (94) of the bearing opening (89), and wherein there are altogether at least four raised abutting surfaces (52 to 55) of the spreading element arrangement (45) for abutment on the bearing opening (89).
