PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optimization method of a fusion equation in a zoomable stereo-photographic viewer (SPV) using the fusion equation and the SPV using the optimization method of the fusion equation.;SOLUTION: When λ is a distance from a projection surface to an appreciation object image, D is the deviation width between a right-eye image and a left-eye image, and u is a distance of a stereoscopic image that a viewer views from a 3D display screen, the SPV zooms at λ, where a magnification ratio is m, dependency of D on m is adjusted by n, and the SPV is adjusted on a fusion equation that is a function of m and n. 1) u is calculated from a function of λ, 2) K used in the fusion equation is any positive number, with K times of u defined as a value area of λ, 3) a discrete value ui is calculated by substituting a discrete number λi for the function of 1), 4) K' is calculated for minimizing a square sum of a difference (λi-K'×ui) of 3) of ui for λi, and 5) n is optimized in a discrete value space of D and m by calculating a value ns at which K becomes closest to K' and n is determined so as to make λ and u a proportional relationship.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3;COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT
