PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the detachment or breakage of an operation member caused by load applied upon retraction, projection, and storage or by repetition of impact with engagement force weakened by a creep phenomenon with regard to the assembly of a slide member with an operation member which constitutes a knock member.SOLUTION: In a slide knock type writing instrument, a knock member 3 that retracts and projects a writing lead is configured of a slide member 5 provided in the barrel to be capable of sliding in the axial direction of the barrel, and an operation member 6 assembled in this slide member, so that one member exerts no stress in the axial direction of the barrel on the other member by each other in a state that both the members are assembled.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
