PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lifting/lowering device of a seat member allowing a user to give a bather a bath with little load and to compactly install a device in a bathtub, and capable of improving stability of the seat member.SOLUTION: A lifting/lowering guide member 13 disposed along one side wall of a bathtub, guides a second side edge of a seat member 11 between a first position located on the upper side of an upper end of the bathtub edge, or on the upper side of the upper end of the bathtub and outside the bathtub, and a second position located closer to a bathtub bottom than the upper end of the bathtub edge. Upper parts of link mechanisms 12 are connected to a part that is closer to a first side edge of the seat member 11 than the center thereof, and a second side edge of the seat member 11 that is located at an opposite side of the first side edge. The lower ends of the link mechanisms are located at the bathtub bottom and lift/lower the seat member 11 on a passage that is curved at least partially, such that the seat member 11 reciprocates between the upper side of the upper end of the bathtub edge and a position closer to the bathtub bottom than the upper end of the bathtub edge.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
