PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for discriminating soybean produced in the South America and soybean produced in other places, in more detail, a method for discriminating which local community (state) in the South America the soybean is produced.SOLUTION: Amounts of elements such as manganese, copper, and iron are analyzed, the elements being included in a soybean sample. On the basis of the analysis information, a place of production of the soybean is discriminated. In more detail, on the basis of the amounts of elements such as manganese, copper, and iron, cluster analysis is performed, and which local community (state) in the South America the soybean is produced is discriminated.
