PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a producing method of titanium carbonitride group cermet powder having excellent toughness preferable as a cutting machining tool generating potent load on a blade top.SOLUTION: There is provided a producing method of TiCN group cermet powder and TiCN group cermet powder sintered compact having an excellent toughness with this powder and titanium carbonitride group cermet cutting tool, in which when ingredient powder containing 5 to 15 mass% of cobalt powder having 1.5 μm or less of average particle diameter, 2 to 10 mass% of nickel powder having 3.0 μm or less of average particle diameter, 20 to 40 mass% of one or more kind of carbonized powder selected from tungsten, molybdenum, tantalum having 3.0 μm or less of average particle diameter and remaining titanium carbonitride powder having 0.5 to 3.0 μm of average particle diameter is subjected to a crushing/mixing process in a container with sphere hard media and liquid solvent, crushing process with sphere hard media having relatively large diameter D and crushing process with sphere hard media having relatively small diameter d are repeated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
