PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide medicine administration mechanism capable of preventing the whole amount of a medicine from being administered to a patient at once at the time of removal of blockage even in the event of blockage in pipe arrangement including a tube.SOLUTION: The mechanism comprises a main body and a pump unit 3 which can be attached to the main body. The pump unit 3 comprises: a pump 31 which absorbs a medicine from a medicine container and discharges the medicine to a patient as a result of increases and decreases of volume of a part that delivers the liquid; suction side piping 333 extending from the pump 31 to the medicine container side; discharge side piping 334 extending from the pump 31 to the patient, relief piping 35, 35a with one end 351 connected to the discharge side piping 333 and the other end 352 positioned where the pressure is lower than the pressure within the discharge side piping at the time of administration of the medicine; and relief piping on-off valves 36, 36a for opening and closing the relief piping 35, 35a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
