PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Mckibben-type artificial muscle capable of preventing an elastic tube from rupturing, without making a braided tube lean to one side, even when a contraction operation is repeated.;SOLUTION: A Mckibben-type artificial muscle, which is expanded/contracted by fluid pressure, includes an elastic tube 10 and a braided tube 20. The elastic tube 10 is made of an elastic body that is formed in a hollow cylindrical shape. The braided tube 20 is put into a braid-over-braid state by intertwisting a strand 21, containing deposited yarn 22, in such a manner that it can freely move onto an exterior wall of the elastic tube 10, and a crossed part 25 of the strand 21 is deposited.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT
