PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indicia that uses directional scattering structures for a display element, and which enables stereoscopic vision by an integral photography scheme, and to provide an article with the indicia which enables observation of multiple different stereoscopic images.SOLUTION: At least a part of a display element includes: multiple directional scattering structures 8; and a light reflecting layer covering the respective directional scattering structures 8. In the display element having the multiple directional scattering structures 8, at least some of the multiple directional scattering structures 8 are arranged substantially parallel to each other. A direction in which the directional scattering structures 8 are arranged is a light scattering axis direction 12a, and a direction in which the directional scattering structures 8 arranged in the light scattering axis direction 12a extend is an orientation direction 12b. In an area of the display element, where the multiple directional scattering structures 8 are arranged along the light scattering axis direction 12a, light scattering power of light in the light scattering axis direction 12a is greater than light scattering power of light in the orientation direction 12b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7(a)
