PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a proton conductivity measuring method and a proton conductivity measuring device that enable easy and accurate measurement of the proton conductivity in the "membrane thickness direction" of an electrolyte membrane of a solid polymer type fuel battery.SOLUTION: A proton conductivity measuring device is configured by plural pairs of electrodes between which an electrolyte membrane as a measurement target is sandwiched. The electrodes are measured individually or in combination of plural pairs, the variation of the impedance value with respect to the variation of the area of the electrode is calculated, and the proton conductivity is calculated from the calculation result, thereby enhancing the measurement precision.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
