PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pointer movement unit capable of quickly detecting a failure caused by a defect concerned with a linear member to which a pointer is attached and notifying the failure, and to provide a pointer instrument apparatus including the pointer movement unit.;SOLUTION: A pointer movement unit 10 included in a speed meter 1 notifies occurrence of a failure when determining that a first reel 52 stored in a storage case 5 is not rotated in a state that a second reel 6 is rotated so as to wind up or send out a wire 4 to which a pointer 3 is attached.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
