The present disclosure provides compositions, kits, and methods for detecting multiple genes and related variants in a sample from a subject suffering from lung cancer. The compositions, kits, and methods include primers and / or probes that can be hybridized to identify a set of oligonucleotides, typically genetic variants. The methods disclosed herein provide a tumor mutation status that is determined and associated with a feasible treatment recommendation.
