PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reach type forklift and an electric reach cylinder of the forklift, in each of which damage to a ball rolling surface of a ball screw due to impulsive external force can be prevented.;SOLUTION: An electric reach cylinder 100A comprises an electric motor 20, a transmission belt 40, a ball screw 30 which moves a mast by a linear motion, and a tension adjustment part 10A which includes an elastic member and adjusts the tension of the transmission belt 40. The tension adjustment part 10A adjusts the tension of the transmission belt 40 by pressing the transmission belt 40 using return operation of the elastic member at a normal time, and absorbs impulsive external force by relaxing the transmission belt 40 using compression operation of the elastic member when the impulsive external force is applied to the ball screw 30.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3;COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT
