PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a captured image of a rear side of an own vehicle so that a driver can easily cast his eyes on an attention object in the captured image and easily perceive the distance between the attention object and the own vehicle.SOLUTION: A rearward visibility support device 100 performs, when an inter-vehicle distance between an own vehicle A and a following vehicle is not less than a preset distance threshold, a blur processing to a side image region and displays a rear side image treated with the blur processing. The side image region is an image region of a portion of a side part of a rear side image obtained by imaging a rear side region including a portion of the side part of the own vehicle A. The rearward visibility support device stops, when the inter-vehicle distance is less than the distance threshold, the blur processing to the side image region and displays the rea side image not treated with the blur processing. When the following vehicle driving on the same travel lane as the own vehicle A is detected, the rearward visibility support device translucently displays a rear image region of a position corresponding to the side image region through the side image region. The rear image region is obtained by imaging a rear region including a region entering a blind spot in a portion of the side part.
