PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal conductivity-variable material for achieving a thermal controller having a simple and compact structure without requiring to install a cooling device separately from a heat insulating material.SOLUTION: There is provided a thermal conductivity-variable material, which comprises: a particle having a property of being magnetically polarized by the magnetic field action and/or a particle having a property of being magnetically polarized by the magnetic field action; and an elastic material in which voids are dispersed. The thickness is reduced and the thermal conductivity is increased by the magnetic field and/or applying the electric field.
