This apparatus comprises a first mold (23) for holding a substrate (3) and a second mold (25) for holding a skin (5). Provided on the side of the second mold (25) are: an inner block (39) for holding the bottom (5b) of the concave part (5a) of the skin (5) and pressing the skin (5) against the edge part of an opening (3a) in the substrate (3) when the molds are clamped together; a knife block (35) having a trim blade (41) that encloses the inner block (39), the outside surface (41a) of the trim blade (41) holding the lateral surface part of the concave part (5a); and a second cylinder (33) for advancing the knife block (35) toward the first mold (23) and cutting the bottom (5b) of the concave part (5a).
