PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To grind the tips of filaments forming a brush into a substantially round semi-spherical shape.;SOLUTION: A grinding apparatus 1 is configured such that a holder 34 for holding an interdental brush 11 is rotatably supported at a processing base 3 through a vertical shaft 33, an eccentric shaft 44 eccentrically connected through an eccentric plate 43 to a horizontal shaft 42 extending horizontally, is rotatably supported at the processing base 3, the eccentric shaft 44 is provided with a partially toothed gear 51, and a vertical shaft 33 is provided with a gear 52 meshing with the partially toothed gear 51, and a pair of grinding sheets 64 substantially making contact with the tip of a brush 14 of the interdental brush 11 and holding the brush from right and left sides. When the horizontal shaft 42 is rotated, the interdental brush 14 is placed between the pair of grinding sheets 64 and rotated about the axis of the horizontal shaft 42 with an eccentric distance as the radius of rotation, while maintaining the vertical attitude of the interdental brush relative to the grinding sheets 64, and the interdental brush is rotated about the axis of the vertical shaft 33 at every set angle, and the tip of the brush 14 is ground circumferentially.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
