PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter medium for a pleat-type air filter which does not cause the increase of structural pressure loss and can have a large dust feed amount even when the filter medium for a pleat-type air filter has a high ridge height, such as a ridge height of 50 mm or higher; and to provide a pleat-type air filter unit using the same.;SOLUTION: A filter medium for a pleat-type air filter of the present invention includes: a spun-bonded nonwoven fabric layer located on the upstream side of air to be filtered; and an ultrafine fiber-mixed layer. The spun-bonded nonwoven fabric layer has an air permeability of 300 cm³/cm²/sec or more. The ultrafine fiber-mixed layer includes a mixture of ultrafine fibers having an average fiber diameter of 0.1-10 μm and heat-fusible fibers having an average fiber diameter of 10-100 μm and is formed of a layer where the heat-fusible fibers are fused. In a pleat-type air filter unit of the present invention, the filter medium for a pleat-type air filter, which has been pleated, is fixed by a frame.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
