PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens drive unit suitable for use as a camera shake correction device, and to provide a camera module and camera having the same.SOLUTION: A lens drive unit displaces a lens holder in an optical axis direction and in a direction perpendicular to the optical axis, and comprises: coils attached to an assembly together with a lens holder; magnets disposed at a position to face the coils; a housing that has the magnets attached thereto and accommodates the assembly; a base constituting the bottom of the housing; and a position detection unit disposed on the base and configured to detect a position of the assembly in the direction perpendicular to the optical axis.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 14
