PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform trick play in streaming media without imposing a large load on implementation.;SOLUTION: A streaming media reproduction device downloads and reproduces media content from a streaming media distribution device connected to a network. The streaming media reproduction device comprises: media data acquisition processing means which identifies a prescribed unit of data corresponding to a time position by referring to index information corresponding to the media content when a jump instruction to the particular time position in the media content is received, and obtains the identified data and data after that by requesting sequentially from the streaming media distribution device; and reproduction means which reproduces media data obtained by the media data acquisition processing means.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
