PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid writing instrument formable of clear handwriting, excellent in erasability that when handwriting is decolored, an afterimage is hardly visible at the place formed of handwriting in the written face; and a solid writing instrument set using the same.;SOLUTION: This solid writing instrument includes: a reversible thermochromic microcapsule pigment including a reversible thermochromic composition comprising at least (a) an electron-donating colorable organic compound, (b) an electron-accepting compound, (c) a reaction medium causing an electron giving/receiving reaction of the components (a) and (b) reversibly at a specific temperature region; a binder; an excipient; and a hindered amine-based light stabilizer.
