PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure cooker including a packing taking account of deformation due to thermal expansion.;SOLUTION: A pressure cooker 1 includes: a pot body 10; a lid 30 to be fitted to the upper part of the pot body 10; and a packing 50 that is used for tightly sealing a space formed by the pot body 10 and the lid 30, comprises an endless ring having a substantially inverse-U-cross-sectional shape, and has an inner cylinder part 51, an outer cylinder part 55, and an upper surface part 53 connected from the inner cylinder part 51 and the outer cylinder part 55. The packing 50 is fixed in a first annular groove 37 formed on the lid 30. The inside diameter of the packing 50 at a normal temperature is smaller than the inside diameter of the first annular groove 37. When the packing 50 is fixed in the first annular groove 37, in a state before heating, the outer cylinder part 55 is bent so as to fall inward, however, after the heating, the outer cylinder part 55 is bent to fall outward by thermal expansion and pressure, so that a part of the outer cylinder part 55 comes into contact with a pot inner peripheral wall 17, to seal it tightly.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT
