PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fundus image-capturing system in which simplification, downsizing, and cost reduction are possible, in which operation is easy, in which a focus can be adjusted with high accuracy, in which control of light intensity is also easy, and in which variations in captured image qualities are extremely small, and to provide a fundus image-capturing method.SOLUTION: A fundus image-capturing system 1 includes: visible light LED light sources 5 irradiating a fundus of an examined eye 2; an imaging element 10 receiving reflected light from the fundus of visible light emitted from the visible light LED light sources 5 to capture an image of the fundus; a controller 13 adjusting a focus of the fundus image to be captured by the imaging element 10, receiving data related to the captured fundus image, and performing image processing to allow display; and a display 19 receiving the data processed by the controller 13, and displaying the fundus image. The visible light LED light sources 5 function as both focusing light sources of the fundus image and image-capturing light sources.
