PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an estimation system for a sulfur emission that can accurately estimate the emission of sulfur from coal based upon measured values obtained by simulating combustion of the coal in a furnace.;SOLUTION: An estimation system includes: an estimation expression generation section 11 which generates an estimation expression for estimating a sulfur emission based upon sulfur emission data D1 representing a sulfur emission when predetermined dust coal obtained by a predetermined first measurement method simulating the combustion state of the dust coal in a furnace is burnt, and organic sulfur content data D2, iron pyrites sulfur content data D3, and hydrosulfate sulfur content data D4 representing an organic sulfur content, an iron pyrites content, and a hydrosulfate sulfur content of the dust coal obtained by a predetermined second measurement method; an estimation expression storage section 12 which stores data on the estimation expression generated by the estimation expression generation section 11; and an arithmetic processing section 13 which estimates a new sulfur emission of new dust coal by substituting data D12 to D14 representing an organic sulfur content, an iron pyrites content, and a hydrosulfate sulfur content of the new dust coal obtained through measurement by the second measurement method for the estimation expression read out of the estimation expression storage section 12.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
