PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an initial introduction cost and a maintenance cost of a boiler plant.;SOLUTION: A device for estimating a silica concentration in boiler water 1, for a boiler plant 2 which has a boiler 7 and a circulation line 34 which condenses steam into water and returns the same to the boiler 7, comprises: a boiler water thermometer 33 to measure a temperature inside the boiler; a boiler internal pressure gauge 32 to measure pressure inside the boiler; a first flowmeter 22 to measure a feeding speed of the boiler water; a silica concentration storage section 41 to store a silica concentration of the boiler water; and silica solubility calculation means 42 to calculate solubility of silica into the steam from the temperature and the pressure. When the silica concentration stored in the silica concentration storage section 41 is larger than silica solubility, the device for estimating the silica concentration in the boiler water 1 updates the silica concentration stored in silica concentration storage section 41 by adding an increase in the silica concentration calculated from a difference between the silica concentration and the silica solubility, the feeding speed of the boiler water, and a retained water quantity of the boiler to the silica concentration.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
