PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a design support simulation method capable of easily designing an induction heating coil for uniformly heating a work-piece having a projection part.;SOLUTION: A design support simulation method includes: a CAD data reading step S1 for reading CAD data of a member to be heated into a computer; a standard model reading step S2 for reading a standard model of an induction heating coil into the computer; a simulation execution step S3 for simulating temperature distribution of the member to be heated by the computer when the induction heating coil of a standard model is arranged along a projection part of a work-piece and heats the work-piece; a determination step S4 for determining whether or not the result of the temperature distribution of the member to be heated obtained in the simulation execution step reaches within a target temperature range; and an induction heating coil design step S5 for designing the induction heating coil and a core on the basis of the result of the temperature distribution when it is determined that the result of the temperature distribution is out of the target temperature range in the determination step.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
