PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sill groove foreign matter detection device for an elevator which can perform a position display of a detected foreign matter and a voice guide for requesting foreign matter removal inside a car if there is a user inside the car or near a landing area when detecting the foreign matter, and can safely restart proper door opening and closing operation after confirming work acceptance and work completion by the user.;SOLUTION: In the sill groove foreign matter detection device, when a foreign matter is detected, a load detection device 12 determines presence of a user inside a car 1, and an ultrasonic sensor 13 determines presence of a user near the landing area of the car. A control device (not shown in the figure) displays a position of the foreign matter detected by a door opening and closing position detection device 11 on a display panel of a display device 18 inside the car 1 if there is a user inside the car or near the landing area, performs a voice guide for requesting a foreign matter removal via a voice generating device 19 inside the car 1, and gives a door control device (not shown in the figure) a stop instruction for door opening and closing operation when the button for acceptance of the foreign matter removal inside the car 1 is pressed by the user, and a restart instruction for door opening and closing operation when a button for completion is pressed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
