A grid connecting device is provided which connects to an electric power system, and outputs power generated by a connected distributed power source to the electrical grid. In this grid connecting device, it is determined whether the rate of decline in the level of sunlight exceeds a predetermined threshold value, and a predetermined voltage sag response operation is performed based on the results of the determination.
