The present invention relates to a method of measuring ingress of water, particularly in underground workings, wherein the method is characterized in that ingress water is brought in a graduated vessel (3) and in determined time intervals, there is simultaneously recorded a time of measurement, pressure, by means of a hydrostatic pressure sensor (8) inside the graduated vessel (3) and barometric pressure, by means of a barometric pressure sensor (9) situated outside the graduated vessel (3). After filling the graduated vessel (3) with water up to the level of an upper sensor of conductivity (6), the graduated vessel (3) automatically discharges through an outlet valve (4) located in the bottom section thereof and the outlet valve (4) automatically closes when the water level drops below the level of the lower sensor of conductivity (5). The present invention further relates to an apparatus for making the above-described method of measuring ingress of water, the apparatus consisting of a seepage water collecting channel (1), which is built in a wall, below the place of the seepage water discharge and is connected with a collecting funnel (2) situated above the mouth of the graduated vessel (3) with open upper end and solid bottom and being provided in its lower section with an outlet valve (4) connected to a control unit (7). Inside the graduated vessel (3), there is situated in the lower section thereof and above the level of the outlet valve (4) a lower sensor (5) of conductivity and in the upper section, close to the graduated vessel (3) mouth, there is situated an upper sensor (6) of conductivity, whereby the lower conductivity sensor (5) and the upper conductivity sensor (6) are connected to the control unit (7). Close to the graduated vessel (3) bottom, there is situated a hydrostatic pressure sensor (8) while outside the graduated vessel (3), there is disposed a barometric pressure sensor (9), which both sensors (8, 9) are connected to a programmable data recording unit (10) with internal memory.
