A method and system for measuring displacements and vibrations of an object or structure (P) are described. The method includes transmitting at least one radar wave using one radar device (Q) placed at a predetermined distance (R) from the receiving device (10) installed on the said object or structure (P); reception by a radar device (Q) of a complex signal (s (t)) consisting of the sum of the signal reflected from said receiving device (10) and one or more signal (I) of interference generated by one or more relevant targets (I1, I2) essentially stationary and located essentially at the same distance (R) from said radar device (Q); separation of signals (I) interference from the reflected signal. The separation step includes a calibration step, which consists of an excitation for a predetermined period of time, a vibration movement with a known frequency and duration in the receiving device (10), which, respectively, functions as a calibration device, in order to obtain an estimate of the signals (I) interfering with and subtracting the estimated value of one or more signals (I) interfering with the complex signal (s (t)) in order to substantially suppress said one or more interferences (I) interfering and obtaining an offset value I have an object or structure (P) based on the reflected signal.
