Provided are a composition and set for prevention and treatment of disorders, associated with excessive weight or obesity, containing tesofensine and metformin as active ingredients in amount from 0.1 to 2 mg of tesofensine and from more than 500 to 3000 mg of metformin. The invention also relates to the use of the pharmaceutical composition and set for prevention and treatment of disorders, associated with excessive weight or obesity, including diabetes mellitus. The composition possesses a pronounced synergistic effect, which is manifested in considerable reduction of weight and side effects in case of combined application of tesofensine and metformine as the composition components in disorders, associated with excessive weight or obesity, including diabetes mellitus.
