CONFIRMATION SYSTEM AUTHENTICITY OF FINANCIAL INSTRUMENTS AND DOCUMENTS

A method for creating a document that can be authenticated includes printing a mark on a document by means of a combination of printing medium having a first appearance and a pollutant having a second appearance different from the first appearance, the first part of the mark having the first appearance but not has a second appearance, and the second part of the mark has a second appearance; capturing an image containing a mark; and storing images and data related to the document in the database. The way to confirm the authenticity of the document includes capturing the image of the document; identifying the pattern on the document and comparing the pattern to the data in the database relating to the source pattern located on the original printed document, in order to determine whether a given degree of similarity exists between the pattern and the source pattern.
