A DEVICE AIDING ELDERLY PEOPLE OR PATIENTS FOR SITTING OR RISING FROM SITTING POSITION

The present invention provides a device to assist elderly people or patients suffering joints pains, aging movement, invalidity or other physical limitations to sit or rise from a sitting position from a chair or a sitting place/surface. The device comprises a collapsible/foldable frame structures having a lower frame means and an upper frame means, wherein the lower frame means defining a resting surface on a sitting means and the upper frame means defining a seat for a user; a side link (s) means hingeably connected between the upper frame means and the lower frame means and a front link(s) means hingeably connected to the collapsible/foldable frame structures; at least one energy storage means connected between the upper frame means and the lower frame for supplying thrust during ascending from sitting position. The two features i.e light weight and collapsibility increases the probability of adoption of device eliminating the stigma attached with assistive devices.
