System and method for aiding a visually impaired person to navigate are provided. The system (100) includes an image capturing device (102), a processing device (104) and a feedback module (108). The image capturing device (102) is configured to capture a series of images. The processing device (104) is configured to receive input from the image capturing device, identify obstacles in the path taken by the person by processing the input received from the image capturing device (102), and determine feedback to be provided to the person, at least based on the identified obstacles.
