The present invention relates to treating of diabetes mellitus and other associated disorders using a composition including plant Tinospora crispa (Tinospora tubercalata) or extract of Tinospora crispa in the form of dietary supplement or nutritional product or pharmaceutical compositions. It specifically relates to treating of Diabetes Mellitus and other associated disorders and its complications using a combination or composition comprising the extracts of Tinospora crispa, Morinda citrifolia and Boerhavia diffusa in the form of Dietary supplement or Nutritional product or Pharmaceutical composition. The invention also relates to the methods for extraction of Tinospora crispa, Morinda citrifolia and Boerhavia diffusa and their compositions/formulations along with different combinations with specific ratios in therapeutically effective amount. The present invention also describes various principles and methods of treating different type of DMs and its complications.
