ABSTRACT PHOTOCATALYTIC METAL-ORGANIC FRAMEWORK FROM CDS QUANTUM DOT INCUBATED METALLOHYDROGEL The present invention provides a unique one pot process at room temperature for the synthesis of CdS quantum dot based gel material (CdS@ZAVA gel) embedded in Metallic organic framework (MOF). This synthesis-cum-entrapment procedure of CdS does not require any capping agent to stabilize them in the gel matrix. The present CdS embedded MOFs can be utilized as photocatalyst in visible light water-splitting reaction.
