Ultraviolet light rays in the range of 250-270 nm(nanometer) wave length is most lethal to all micro organisms (bacteria / virus). Water entering the UV chamber is exposed to UV rays, wherein mechanism of kill involves the absorption of photons of electro magnetic radiation of UV energy by the DNA of the micro organisms thus destroying ability to get replicated. Any light emitting Electric Lamp including UV lamp has maximum burning life in terms of hours, for example, an UV lamp being used in drinking water disinfection system has maximum of 6000 hours as burning hours, as stated by its manufacturers. But when it completes certain hours of burning its illumination / radiation efficiency shortens automatically and gradually and finally it gets FUSED and at the same time when Radiation efficiency comes down its killing efficiency of Bacteria / Virus also proportionately comes down and as a result, Bacterial contaminates in raw water will escape out of UV Radiation and will pass in to the treated water (drinking water) storage tank and makes an unsafe Bacterial contaminated drinking water. This can be tested with Bacterial Test kit - as detailed above. But in this integrated automatic UV drinking water disinfection system with solar power there.is no escape of Bacteria / Virus into the drinking water storage tank because of UV rays filtering sleeve mechanism. It will be a boon to human healthy life instead of going for costly systems such as AC power operated UV and Reverse Osmosis purification systems. By this system, the total production cost of the treated water will be less than Rs.l ( Rupee one only) per 1000 liters. This economy can not be achieved in any of the efficient water treatment system. Total Automation Auto UV Monitor 1. Yellow light glows when there is power 2. Blue Light glows whenever UV is on 3. Red Light Indication when UV Lamp 4. Hooter sounds when lamp fails (optional) Auto Raw Water flow control Stops flow of raw water into the system when there is no power and feeds raw water when power returns. Auto Pure water level Contorller (Optioanal) Stop the whole system including UV when pure water collection tank becomes full & starts when the pure water level comes down.
