The present invention approaches the problem related to the generation of new heterocyclic systems resulting from coumarin with antifungal activity. The efficiency is evaluated according to the percentage of inhibition against candida albicans, an opportunist pathogen in infectious processes with respect to the fluconazole, a drug of commercial sale. The results indicate that the compounds in question are highly effective, upon inhibiting the strains in a range of from about 75% to about 96%, also showing minimal inhibitory concentrations ranging from 900 ng to 2 mg (the standard requires 3 mg to be effective).
